Colours
Aluminium is without doubt the ideal material for the creation of contemporary building concepts. Coloured windows and doors certainly bring an added value to your building. They can combine an impressive outside appearance with a pleasant living atmosphere on the inside.
Bicolour lacquering
Suppose you want to match the exterior colour of your windows with your façade and choose an inside colour that perfectly matches your interior. Reynaers can provide the interior and exterior of your profiles in almost every colour you can imagine. Over 450 different shades and finishes are available: metallic or anodised, matt or gloss RAL-colours, or even a special low maintenance and scratch resistant Coatex finish. On top of that, your windows can even incorporate a realistic wood structure.
Coloured accessories
Handles, hinges and other accessories can also be lacquered in exactly the same colour as your windows. Even the drainage caps are available in all RAL colours. Opting for coloured accessories results in a spotless integration of all accessories into your windows.
Finish
Whether you choose for a lacquered or anodised surface finish, you will enjoy the lifelong beauty of your windows without having to invest in paint or varnish. As opposed to other materials, powder coated or anodised aluminium is not affected by UV-radiation and will never start to rust or rot, making it extremely low maintenance. The surface finish of your windows does not only have an aesthetic value, it also provides extra protection for the aluminium.
Pure aluminium has a very good corrosion resistance, due to an oxide layer, which protects the metal against the outside environment. This natural, untreated surface was typical of the early aluminium windows. Nowadays however, new techniques are developed for the surface treatment of aluminum, which increase the durability and give the systems an extra design aspect.
Powder coating
To offer your profile systems in any colour you can imagine, Reynaers offers a painting technique called powder coating. In the process of powder coating, the aluminium is first degreased and cleaned. A coloured powder is then sprayed onto the statically charged profiles. These profiles are subsequently baked in ovens, allowing the powder to melt together into a stable and high quality finish of the aluminium. To guarantee maximum quality, this procedure is performed according to the strict guidelines of the European Qualicoat-standard (link: Qualicoat).
Anodising
The anodisation surface treatment gives the profiles a controlled oxide layer, giving them a high level of protection in combination with a natural look. In the process of anodisation, profiles are degreased and cleaned before being dipped into a chemical bath. This is where an artificial oxidation process takes place, allowing the pores of the aluminium to open. The profiles are then coloured in a bath of metal oxide. Finally, the pores are closed again in a special steam bath. To ensure the very best quality, this specialized procedure is performed according to the strict guidelines of the European Qualanod-standard (link: Qualanod).
What should I choose?
There is virtually no difference in quality between lacquering or anodising. The only subtle difference can be found in the aesthetics: with lacquering, the aluminium surface is covered with a top layer, while anodisation preserves the original structure of the aluminium. However, some extreme or aggressive (polluted) environments -such as coastal areas or megacities- require an extra level of protection. Reynaers therefore advises pre-anodisation of the profiles before being powder coated. The combination of these two techniques results in the most complete long-term protection of your building elements.
Conservatories
A nicely designed conservatory can be an excellent addition to your home. In addition to providing extra living space, it can match perfectly the style of your house. Reynaers offers specially designed modular roof systems with the possibility to seamlessly integrate all CS window-, door- and CP sliding systems.
Design variants
You can choose from a range of profile styles that answer almost every design requirement. The basic functional style is sober and elegant. The orangerie-variant offers the authentic atmosphere of a Victorian wintergarden. The romantic renaissance-variant is the ideal solution for renovations in a traditional architectural style.
Conservatory roof
Of course, the transition from the conservatory to the roof is not overlooked by Reynaers. Our new roof edge profiles make a perfect finish possible. They’re made from durable materials, require little maintenance and come in the colour of your choice.
Freedom of shapes & styles
When it comes to design freedom, aluminium is the material of choice. Styles, shapes, dimensions, opening types, colours, accessories,… You can decide everything yourself. This allows you to express your own personality in the building style of your project.
Style variants
Reynaers window -and windowdoor systems come in six style variants which you can choose from. These styles have everything to do with your personal taste and the style of your building: modern and stark or classically shaped. Depending on your wishes, there is always a profile that meets your needs.
Dimensions
Aluminium windows and doors come in almost every dimension. Large spans or even elements up to 3 meters in height are possible. Together with your architect, you can virtually design your windows and doors yourself. Your Reynaers fabricator supports you in providing all the details about minimum -and maximum dimensions.
Glazing types
Modern and minimalistic architecture often features large glass surfaces that offer many advantages: your rooms get filled with natural daylight, they look more spacious and you can enjoy a beautiful view. Moreover, when oriented properly, large windows can provide lots of passive solar gain.
Careful planning
The architect plays an essential role in the positioning of your windows. If you envision a special concept for the windows in your building, it is important to discuss this with your architect in an early phase of the design stage, as the construction of the building needs to be appropriate for the desired solution. Reynaers’ aluminium systems make it possible to realise large glass surfaces up to 3 meters high and 6 meters wide.
Glazing types
Depending on the chosen system, glass -or packing elements from 4mm to 65mm can be fitted into aluminium profiles. This allows for a broad range of glazing options – from acoustic glass or safety glass, to a highly aesthetical mirror-glass. If necessary, the window profiles are strengthened extra against heavy wind load or the weight of large and heavy glass panes.
Hinges and accessories
Reynaers offers a large range of accessories for the building envelope. Of course as well as their beauty and elegance, safety is also an important consideration. Reynaers systems can be equipped with special accessories, like handles fitted with a key and safety cylinder.
Hidden hinges
Hidden hinges bring an added value to the aesthetics of your windows. By choosing hinges that are integrated into your windows, you avoid getting them damaged or soiled, while attaining a more beautiful and discrete effect. These hidden accessories can be used in various types of Reynaers turn -and tilt windows.
Handles
In line with its minimalistic building concept, Reynaers developed a series of refined and elegant handles. These handles perfectly blend into the overall image of your windows, doors and sliding systems. They can also be ordered in exactly the same colour as the selected profile, assuring a perfect match. In addition to Orchid, Shield and Horizon, our most recent development in the field of handles, is Purity design handles.
Renovation
In renovation works, you can make a distinction between heavy or light renovation. Heavy renovation means that all existing windows and doors will be completely broken out of the building. With light renovation, the outside frames that are still in good shape often remain in use. The moving parts and glazing are disassembled and replaced by new aluminium profiles.
With any kind of renovation work being performed, Reynaers offers the possibility to choose the profile style and colour that matches your building style.
Sunscreening
Sun screening serves as an excellent addition to your building in different ways. Perhaps the most common purpose of sun screening can be found in the name itself; it is mostly used for blocking out excessive solar beams. That way, overheating of the room can be avoided.
Aesthetic function
Reynaers looks at sun screening in a different way. Our systems aim at combining these rich functionalities with stunning aesthetics. Reynaers’ sun screening systems bring an extra dimension to your building, giving it a unique, unparalleled character.
Carports
A nicely designed carport is often an excellent alternative to a garage. With Cintro (link: Cintro), Reynaers offers the perfect architectural solution. It can be used for numerous applications such as light roofs, carports, bicycle storages and so on. The wide choice of glazing types make it the ideal system for applications where abundant daylight is desired.
